Laptops for 41 teachers of Pokhariya Secondary School in Biratnagar
BIRATNAGAR: JULY 23 – Secondary schools have recently become more technology-friendly. Some schools have been working as role models since previous years, while others are moving forward with technology.
It has been a few years since Pokhariya Secondary School in Biratnagar started adopting technology. Pokhariya Secondary School, which has become a model by starting English medium education, has been following the technology. In order to make the school technology-friendly, laptops have been distributed to the teachers in the school.
The school principal Khemraj Bhattarai said that laptops were distributed to 41 teachers working in the school in the first phase. He also said that the school is preparing to distribute the remaining 30 teachers later.
The laptops were distributed by the teachers at the cost of 15 per cent and the school at the cost of 85 per cent.
Mayor of Biratnagar, Parajuli, said that all the schools in Biratnagar would be empowered in technology-friendly education.
Pokhariya Secondary School is one of the best schools in the country. At present more than 2500 children are studying in the school. Although the condition of most of the secondary schools in Biratnagar is poor, Pokhariya Secondary School has succeeded in becoming a model in the country.
