Brazil defeated Germany, France also lost
KATHMANDU: JULY 23 – Brazil has beaten Germany by a wide margin in men’s football at the Tokyo Olympics. Brazil beat Germany 4-2 on Thursday.
Richardson scored a hat-trick in Brazil’s victory. Richardson completed his hat-trick with goals in the 7th, 22nd and 30th minutes of the game. Paulinho scored another goal for Brazil in the 95th minute.
Ragnar Ache and Nadiem Amiri scored one goal each for Germany. In Group D, Brazil will now play another game against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday. Similarly, Germany is playing against Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
In the other match, France stunned Mexico 4-1. Alexis Vega of Mexico, Francisco Cordova, Uriel Atuna and Eduardo Aguirre all scored a goal to stun France. France’s Andre-Pierre Gignac scored a consolation goal.
