Agreement between Global IME Bank and Organic Nepal Cooperative Society
KATHMANDU: JULY 22 – An agreement has been signed between Global IME Bank Limited and Organic Nepal Cooperative Society Limited for the purpose of increasing the access of small farmers to agricultural subsidy loans.
An agreement was signed between Ratna Raj Bajracharya, Chief Executive Officer of Global IME Bank Limited and Keshav Lal Shrestha, Chairman of Organic Nepal Cooperative Society Limited to provide concessional loans.
As per the agreement, Global IME Bank will provide loans to the share members, entrepreneurs, farmers, firms and companies of the cooperatives on the recommendation of Organic Nepal Cooperatives under the Integrated Procedure for Concessional Loans, 2075 (with amendments). According to the agreement, the cooperative will also provide necessary training to the small farmers who take loans.
Global IME Bank, which has a network of branches across the country and abroad, aims to provide access to banking services in more than 800 services including 273 branches, 248 ATMs, 257 branchless banking services, 47 extension and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices in all 7 states and 76 districts. The bank has stated that it is providing services to the customers from the centre.
