125-year-old priest dies

MAHOTTARI: JULY 22 – This morning, a priest from a temple in Damhi village, Mahottari Rural Municipality, died. The priest at the Maharani Temple is Baba Baidehi Das. He had been alive for 125 years.

Das has been a priest at the temple for the past 50 years. He had tantric and yoga training. He had been living in the forest at Sonasati Mata temple in Aaurahi municipality before becoming the priest at the Maharani temple.

Locals say Das practised yoga and never took allopathic medicine, even when he was sick.
