Three killed, 41 injured after bus overturns in northern Iran

TEHRAN: JULY 21 – Three people lost their lives and 41 others were injured on Wednesday after a bus overturned in the northern Iranian province of Mazandaran, the semi-official Labor News Agency reported.

The incident occurred in the area of Panjab, 50 km from the city of Amol, as a bus travelling from Tehran to Amol with 44 people on board overturned, said Gholamali Fakhari, head of the Red Crescent Society (RCS) in Mazandaran.

Four RCS rescue teams were sent to the scene of the accident, and eight people were given medical care on the spot, while the rest of the injured were carried to a hospital in Amol, Fakhari added.
