Meeting of Madhav’s party’s standing committee members continues
KATHMANDU: JULY 21 – A meeting of the standing committee members of a senior leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) Madhav Kumar Nepal has started. After holding discussions with the lawmakers on Tuesday, Nepal is going to hold discussions with the standing committee members for today.
A leader said that today’s meeting will discuss whether to participate in the government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba or not.
On Sunday, 22 lawmakers, including Nepal, gave a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Eight of them were close to party president KP Sharma Oli. Ten parliamentarians considered close to Nepal remained neutral.
Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s party had decided to ask for a 24-hour explanation on Monday. However, no letter has been sent so far.
