Today is also a meeting of the UML central committee

KATHMANDU: JULY 20 – CPN-UML Central Committee meeting is scheduled to be held today as well. The meeting started at the Tulsilal Memorial Foundation building in Chyasal from yesterday.

UML party office secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang informed that the meeting was called for 3 pm today. According to him, the meeting is discussing the internal disputes in the party, party discipline, steps to be taken by the party and other issues.

Monday’s meeting decided to ask 22 lawmakers, including Madhav Nepal, for a vote of confidence in Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba for the PM’s job. A similar meeting had approved the 10-point proposal submitted by the UML Dispute Resolution Task Force.

After yesterday’s central committee meeting, a standing committee meeting was also held at the residence of UML chairperson KP Sharma Oli in Balkot.
