Phone conversation between Deuba and Modi, promise to work together
KATHMANDU: JULY 19 – A telephone conversation has taken place between Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. During the talks, Modi has urged to work together. Mentioning congratulations and best wishes, Modi wrote on Twitter, “We are working together in various fields with the COVID epidemic.” They also talked about deepening relations between the two countries.
On the occasion, Deuba thanked Modi for his congratulations and said that he was ready to work together on common issues. Earlier, there was a lot of debate saying that PM Modi did not wish good luck to Deuba, who became the Prime Minister from the Supreme Court on July 12.
Modi had congratulated Deuba on Twitter on Sunday (yesterday) after receiving a vote of confidence from the House. After that, he made a telephone call on Monday (today).
Spoke with Prime Minister @DeubaSherbdr to convey my congratulations and best wishes. We will work together to further enhance the wide-ranging cooperation between India and Nepal, including in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
