Debate continues over People’s Socialist Party dispute in Election Commission

KATHMANDU: JULY 18 – The dispute between the two factions of the People’s Socialist Party is being debated in the session of the Election Commission. According to leader Keshav Jha, the debate has been going on since 11 am. Advocates on both sides are now continuing their debates.

After the People’s Socialist Party’s Dr. Baburam Bhattarai-Upendra Yadav faction reached the commission claiming officiality, the commission had called for debate and consensus today. Accordingly, the commission has reached both camps today.

After both the parties signed a letter to separate the party, the commission has formed a bench to resolve the dispute over the party’s legitimacy.
