DHANUSHA: JULY 18 – The speed of the much-awaited Janakpur-Jainagar railway track will be tested today. Guru Bhattarai, general manager of Nepal Railway Company, informed that the speed test and verification of the railway track will be done in connection with the pre-operation preparations.

According to him, the work of ‘speeding’ and ‘certification’ of railway leaks will be done. He said the track speed would be tested by the diesel locomotive train of India’s East-Central Railway. He said, “Track speed testing is an important process before operating a train service. As the speed of the train is 120 km per hour while testing the speed, safety is important on the railway track. ”

General Manager Bhattarai, through his social network Facebook, has requested the common people around the railway tracks not to leave people, cows, buffaloes, bicycles, motorcycles, children on the tracks and keep their distance from the tracks. He said adequate police and personnel would be deployed at the tracks and stations during the test.

He said, “In case there is no problem on the railway track from Jayanagar to Janakpur during the test, the Indian railway company will hand over the certificate to Nepal Railway Company Limited saying that the Janakpur-Jayanagar railway track is suitable and safe for operation.”

General Manager Bhattarai also warned that the person would be held responsible and action would be taken as per the law in case of any accident. He requested the citizens of the Jayanagar-Janakpur-Kurtha section to be responsible. He informed that security personnel have been mobilized around the railway leak from Janakpur to the Indian border.

The two trains were purchased by the government from India at a cost of Rs. 846.59 million. The train, which can run back and forth, is now covered with a tent at Janakpur’s Inerwa station under the supervision of the Armed Police Force.
