News of foreign cricket league operation is false: CAN
KATHMANDU: JULY 16 – The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has said that the news that a foreign cricket league will be launched is not true.
Stating that there is no truth in the news that a foreign league is being operated in Nepal, CAN said that no permission has been given for any foreign league so far.
CAN has also urged the federation’s state and district cricket associations, players, officials, technical officials, and other cricket-related individuals or organizations not to be involved in cricket competitions without the association’s permission.
A statement from CAN’s secretary-general said:
The Nepal Cricket Association has drawn serious attention to the news that a foreign league is being run in Nepal. We would like to inform that the association has not given approval for any foreign league for the time being. In addition, the association strongly requests the state and district cricket associations, players, officials, technical officials, and other cricket-related persons or organizations not to be involved in any cricket competitions held without the approval of the association.
