Prohibitory order in valley for next 10 days, these are not allowed activities [With orders]
KATHMANDU: JULY 16 – A prohibitory order has been issued in the Kathmandu Valley till July 25. A joint meeting of the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur) on Thursday decided to extend the prohibitory order by 10 days.
As per the order to be implemented from today, shops and other businesses will be allowed to operate till 7 pm this time. Earlier, it was asked to operate till 6 o’clock. The order prohibits all crowded activities in cinema halls, party palaces, entertainment venues, stadiums, museums, gatherings, and conferences. The order also bans open spaces, processions, fairs, and festivals.
Online orders of essential items, restaurants, and fast food, and other orders are open till 7 pm only for Takeaway and Home Delivery. Public transport can be operated in the Kathmandu Valley without carrying more passengers than the approved capacity and private vehicles can be operated by following the prescribed criteria.
It is mentioned in the order that vehicles entering Kathmandu for special work will be allowed to enter. Means for transporting materials for public and private construction will be available from 9 pm to 5 am. Local transportation will be available from 9 am to 11 am and from 4 pm to 7 pm.
Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, informed that the previous arrangement of conducting all kinds of pre-determined written and experimental examinations by following the conditions has been maintained. In which more than 25 people will not be allowed to participate in the same cell.
The order says that programs such as seminars, trainings, meetings, review programs rainings should be conducted through virtual media and not more than 25 people should be allowed to participate physically. Religious and cultural activities other than regular worship by priests will not be allowed.
