Health Ministry urges people not to use ‘Corona Guard’
KATHMANDU: JULY 15 – The Ministry of Health and Population has urged all not to use ‘corona guard’.
In a notice, the Ministry asked people not to buy ‘corona guard,’ which it claimed was being sold in the market and claimed to prevent, control, and render coronavirus inactive.
Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, the Ministry’s Joint Spokesperson, urged everyone not to purchase such deceptive “cards” as the “corona guard,” which do not work in the prevention and control of coronavirus.
“Such guard, as advertised, that is claimed will make coronavirus inactive and those using this card should not wear mask, is baseless,” he stated. So far, no such technology for controlling COVID-19 has been developed.”
Last year, the Ministry urged everyone not to use a ‘virus removing card,’ which was also said to be used to protect against coronavirus.
According to the Ministry, vaccination, wearing face masks at all times, and following all health safety protocols are only precautions against coronavirus infection.
The Ministry also urged everyone to follow health-safety protocols, as the risk of coronavirus has increased since the prohibition order was lifted.
