Australia’s thrilling win in Twenty20 cricket
KATHMANDU: JULY 15 – Australia have won their fourth Twenty20 cricket match against the West Indies by four runs. This is Australia’s first win in a five-match series.
West Indies lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and managed to score only 183 runs. With 11 runs needed to win the final over, the West Indies batsman could not take any runs in the five balls of Australian bowler Mitchell Starc’s over. Andre Russell hit a six off the last ball, but it was not enough to defeat the West Indies.
Lendl Simmons of West Indies scored 72 runs and Evin Lewis scored 31 runs. Australia’s Mitchell Marsh took 3 wickets. Batting first, Australia lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and scored 189 runs. Australia’s Mitchell Marsh scored 75 and captain Aaron Finch 53 runs. Hayden Walsh of West Indies took 3 wickets. The home team West Indies have already won the series.
The last and fifth match between the two teams will be played on Saturday.
