Girl drowns in Mahakali river

KATHMANDU: JULY 15 – Samjhana Sunar, a four-year-old girl of Dodhara Chandani Municipality-4, drowned in the Mahakali River on Wednesday evening. The body of Samjhana, who drowned in the river while playing with her friends, was recovered by the Armed Police Force.
A 10-member team under the command of Krishna Bahadur Bohara from Border Out Post Dodhara Chandani and a five-member team under the command of Inspector Bharatraj Giri of Area Police Office Dodhara Chandani were engaged in the search. The body was found drowning in the river two kilometers away while searching in the river, said Superintendent of Armed Police Birendra Bahadur Air of Armed Police Force Nepal No. 35 Battalion Headquarters Shaileshwari. A primary health center has been set up at Dodhara Chandani for autopsy.
