Two arrested with Red Panda hide

KATHMANDU: JULY 14 – The police arrested two persons involved in trafficking in Red Panda hide. The arrestees are Nara Bahadur Basnet, 56, of Bheriganga Municipality-8, Surkhet, and Dil Bahadur Rawat, 48, of Daha 3 in Jajarkot district who currently lives in Junichande rural municipality-7 in the same district.

A police team apprehended them based on the information that a deal was taking place for the sale and purchase of the Red Panda hide at Guruwa of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-16, police said.

Police confiscated two feet 10 inches long hide from the head to the tail with the claws, 32 big and small kinetic shining stones, and a mobile phone from them.
