A new variant of COVID-19 found

POKHARA: JULY 11 – A new variant of the corona has appeared in Gandaki. A new variant has been found in the infected people of Syangja and Gorkha.

According to the state health directorate, three women from Gorkha Barpak Sulikot and two from Syangja Kaligandaki have been infected. State Public Health Laboratory In Gandaki, five samples were found to be infected during PCR testing and sent to the National Public Health Laboratory.

Nawaraj Sharma, the coordinator of the emergency operations center of the health directorate, informed that the delta variant has been certified in the swab sent for gene sequencing.

The directorate has urged to be vigilant as this infection is more prevalent than other variants.
