43 ministers sworn in in Modi’s 78 cabinet

KATHMANDU: JULY 8 – The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has formed a large cabinet. Modi on Wednesday added 36 new ministers to the cabinet, while seven ministers of state in the previous cabinet were promoted.

At the same time, Modi’s cabinet has 78 members. According to Indian media, this is the largest cabinet in the history of India. Earlier, there were 53 ministers in Modi’s cabinet. Before reshuffling the cabinet, Modi has asked 12 ministers to resign.

On Wednesday night, Modi administered the oath of office to 15 flower ministers and 28 ministers of state at the Ashok Hall of the President’s Office. Many of the new ministers have the opportunity to become ministers for the first time.
