England defeats Denmark and reached the final
KATHMANDU: JULY 8- England have reached the final of the Euro Cup. England reached the Euro Cup final for the first time, defeating Denmark 2-1 in the semi-final.
Harry Kane scored the decisive goal in the 104th minute of extra time in England’s victory. Kane’s penalty was saved by the Danish goalkeeper, but the ball bounced and was converted into a goal by Kane. This is Kane’s fourth goal in this Euro Cup.
The match was played in extra time of 30 minutes after both teams scored 1-1 in the allotted 90 minutes. In the first half of the game, in the 30th minute of the game, Mikkel Damsgaard scored a beautiful goal from a free-kick to give Denmark an early lead.
In the 39th minute of the match, a cross ball thrown by Bukayo Saka of England was hit by Simon Kjær of Denmark at his own post and a suicide goal was scored.
England have reached the final of the big tournament after 55 years. After winning the 1966 World Cup, England did not even reach the final of the big tournament. In the 1966 World Cup, England defeated West Germany to win the title.
England will now face Italy in the final. The final will also be played at Wembley Stadium on Sunday at 12:45 am.
