Objection to making the Advertising Board a recruitment center
KATHMANDU: JULY 7 – Nepal Advertising Association has objected to the government’s decision to form an advertisement board.
In a statement, the association’s president Som Prasad Dhital said that even after the formation and reorganization of the board, it was clear that the government was trying to set up a recruitment center by denying the institutional representation of the association.
The association strongly objects to the need for the participation of experts who understand the essence and justification of the advertising sector, as the representation of other sectors will not only destabilize the advertising sector but will lead to its gradual decline. The government’s misconception that the media operators represent the general advertising business is wrong. As it is a multi-dimensional feature of the advertising business, participation in the board of this sector is mandatory, ‘the statement said.
