Effect of monsoon winds: Three more days of rain
KATHMANDU: JULY 6 – Due to the effect of monsoon winds, it is currently cloudy and rainy in different parts of the country. Currently, there is partial to moderate cloud cover in State No. 2 and Bagmati and light to moderate cloud cover in the rest of the states.
Even though the weather is open in Kathmandu Valley in the morning, it is partly cloudy now. According to the Meteorological Department, Department of Water and Meteorology, there will be partial to normal cloud cover in Karnali and Far West and normal to normal cloud cover in the rest of the country.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in State No. 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, and some places in Lumbini and a few places in Karnali and Far West.
Most parts of the country will be cloudy at night and light to moderate rain is expected in State No. 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini and a few places in Karnali and Far West. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places of State No.1.
Even on Wednesday, there will be normal to complete cloud cover in most parts of the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in State No. 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, and some places in Lumbini and a few places in Karnali and Far West. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in State No. 1, 2, Bagmati, and Gandaki.
The same weather system will continue on Thursday. According to the latest details of the department, the maximum temperature in Kathmandu today is 30 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 21 degrees Celsius. The highest rainfall of 58 mm was recorded in Biratnagar and 28 mm in Kathmandu.
