BIRATNAGAR: JULY 5 – In the midst of the epidemic, the prohibitory order has been eased. Public transport in Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, and Sunsari 4 districts has been forced to operate in an odd/even system and public transport has also started operating in many districts of the state. Prohibitory order issued in the districts has been eased by the administration offices.

Before the meeting of the District Covid Management Committee, a meeting of the Chief District Officers of the four districts decided to bring public transport in those districts into operation.

Public and private vehicles will be operating in Morang from Tuesday. The District Administration Office, Morang, has decided to operate public transport on the basis of odd/even, even though it has extended the prohibitory order till July 12.

The prohibitory order will remain in force till midnight on July 11. Chief District Officer of Morang, Koshahari Niraula, said that the decision has been taken to implement public and private transport in an odd/even system.

Earlier, the administration had decided to open the shops only till 4 o’clock. According to the administration office, educational institutions, salons, beauty parlors, gyms, sports, gudri, and weekly bazar will not be able to operate yet. Schools, where children gather, will remain closed as the risk of infection remains. The administration offices have stated that health safety standards should be adopted in the rest of the areas as well.

Similarly, a prohibitory order has been issued in Jhapa till July 15. The meeting has decided to operate all types of private vehicles except essential services, city safaris and autorickshaws under the odd/even system.

A meeting chaired by Jhapa Chief District Officer Shrawan Kumar Timsina has decided to bring hotels and restaurants into operation.
