BIRATNAGAR: JULY 4 – The Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Center has obstructed the meeting of the state assembly for the third time. Expressing dissatisfaction over the statement made by Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Ambir Babu Gurung in the state assembly last Sunday, the UCPN (Maoist) central parliamentarians blocked the house.

While the Appropriation Bill of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and Planning is being discussed, the Maoists have been obstructing the House saying that Minister Ambir Babu Gurung has insulted the parliamentarians in an unconstitutional, unethical, immoral, and irresponsible manner.

The UCPN (M) has demanded that Minister Gurung apologize to the rostrum of the state assembly. The UCPN-M has also demanded the removal of the record of Minister Gurung’s speech in the state assembly.

The meeting has been called at 2 pm on Monday due to Maoist obstruction.
