KATHMANDU: JULY 4 – People’s representatives of Chandragiri have put pressure on the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) not to split. People’s representatives elected from Chandragiri Municipality in the local level election of 2074 BS have been sitting on Gurjudhara Road today to exert pressure and caution.

According to Haribhakta Maharjan, CPN-UML Kathmandu Constituency No. 10 Coordinator and CPN-UML District Secretariat Member, the demonstration was held under the banner ‘UML’s Indispensability for Prosperity, All CPN-UML Needs Today’. Maharjan is also the spokesperson of Chandragiri Municipality and the ward chairperson of ward no.11.

“We believe that this pressure will help the CPN (UML) to unite and fulfill the dream of Pushpalal, Manmohan, and Madan Bhandari,” he said.

Chandragiri is the largest municipality in the Kathmandu Valley. There are 15 wards in this municipality. In the local level election in Chandragiri, 58 people’s representatives of the CPN-UML, including the deputy chief, were elected.
