Flood destroys bridge connecting Gorkha and Tanahun

KATHMANDU: JULY 2 –  Floods after incessant rains have damaged the suspension bridge connecting Gorkha and Tanahu. The bridge connecting Gorkha Municipality-14 Gopling and Tanahun’s Awukhaireni has been destroyed by the flood in the Marshyangdi River.

The flood has washed away the pillars towards Tanahun. As soon as the bridge was damaged, transporting have stopped. Locals from Gopling, Gorwung, Salangiri, and other places used to come travel from this bridge.
