Quarterfinals of the Euro Cup from today

KATHMANDU: JULY 2 – The quarterfinal matches of Euro Cup football are starting from today. There will be two games today.

Switzerland and Spain will meet in the first quarterfinal while Belgium and Italy will compete in the second. The match between Switzerland and Spain will start at 9:45 pm Nepali time at St. Petersburg Stadium in Russia.

Switzerland reached the quarterfinals by defeating World Cup winners France in a penalty shootout, while Spain beat Croatia 5-3 to reach the quarterfinals. Both teams will reach the semi-finals. For that, Switzerland and Spain want to win.

The second quarterfinal match between Belgium and Italy will start at 12:45 am at the Eleanor Stadium in Germany. Top-ranked Belgium secured a place in the last eight with a 1-0 win over defending champions Portugal, while Italy beat Austria 2-1 in extra time in the pre-quarterfinals.

Both Belgium and Italy, the title contenders, are planning to reach the semi-finals with victories. Therefore, the game between the two teams is expected to be exciting.
