KATHMANDU: JULY 1 – Heavily raining across the country due to the active effect of monsoon winds. According to the Water and Weather Forecast Division, it is raining in many places in State No. 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini.

It has been raining heavily in Kathmandu Valley under Bagmati State since midnight. The department has urged to be vigilant as there is a risk of floods and landslides as the rains will continue for a few more days due to monsoon winds.

The risk of floods and inundation has increased in the coastal area of ​​Sindhuli due to heavy rains for the last six hours. The Flood Forecast Division said that the risk has increased due to the possibility of floods in riparian areas.

As the water level in Kamala River and Ranibas Flood Measurement Center has crossed the danger level, it has been requested to be vigilant till night in the lower coastal areas including Dhanusha and Siraha. The flood information center of the Department of Water and Meteorology has issued a warning to the residents of the potential risk areas to be vigilant after heavy rains in these areas.
