Congress to strengthen the opposition alliance
KATHMANDU: JUNE 18 – The Nepali Congress has decided to strengthen the opposition alliance “for the defense of democracy and the constitution”. A meeting of the Central Working Committee held on Friday concluded that the five-party alliance should be strengthened for the defense of democracy and the constitution, said leader Prakash Sharan Mahat.

Earlier, an alliance was formed between the UCPN (Maoist) Center, Janata Samajwadi Party, Rastriya Janamorcha and UML led by Madhav Kumar Nepal-Jhala Nath Khanal to save the constitution and democracy. The meeting of the Congress Central Working Committee has also approved the revised schedule of the 14th General Convention.
Now, the ward convention will be held on July 27 and the central general convention will be held in Kathmandu from September 1 to 4.
