Budhigandaki flooded two houses
GORKHA: JUNE 18 – Two houses in Yaru Bagar in Dharche Rural Municipality-1 have been washed away by the flood caused by the Budhigandaki River due to continuous rains for the past few days.
According to Prakash Dahal, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, the river flooded the houses of Rajkumar Dhakal and Gopal Ghale, locals of Bagar on Thursday evening.
He also informed that a shed with goats near Dhakal’s house was also flooded. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dahal said that the police team reached the spot and kept the victim’s family at a neighbour’s house.
“Two families of the victims are being sheltered in a neighbour’s house,” he said, adding that the device has been shifted to more vulnerable families. “Seven more houses in Yaru Bagar are also at high risk due to the floods,” police said.
