Demand to be able to run a business by adopting health standards

KATHMANDU: JUNE 18 – The National Trade Association has demanded that the business should be allowed by adopting the health standards prescribed by the World Health Organization. A team of the association met Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli on Thursday and demanded that the business should be allowed to do business by adopting health standards.

Secretary General of the Association, Baikuntha Dahal, said that thousands of entrepreneurs have been forced to leave their businesses due to the prohibitory order on the second phase of Corona infection with new variants in Nepal and other countries.

“He said that the business people are under stress due to rent, loans of financial institutions, interest, taxes and salaries due to the prohibitory order. He said that an environment should be created for running business to reduce the stress”.

General Secretary Dahal said that people are dying of hunger rather than disease and demanded to create an environment where people can make a living by working. The association said that the number of infected people is gradually decreasing and now the business should be allowed to run gradually.
