Bodies of 3 found, 17 missing
Five people have been injured and one Chinese national has returned after treatment.
KATHMANDU: JUNE 17 – The death toll due to floods in Melamchi of Sindhupalchowk has reached three. According to the District Administration Office, Sindhupalchowk, 17 others have lost contact due to the floods.
The bodies of Chinese nationals Gong Tian Chiu and Yu Chi Zhu and Indian national Kamal Lochan Mahato were found in various flood-hit areas, the administration said. Similarly, 17 persons including Nepali, Chinese and Indian have not come in contact, said Arun Pokharel in a press release.
Similarly, five people have been injured and one Chinese national has returned after treatment. Another 80 have been rescued by the Nepal Army, police and armed forces. He is being treated at various hospitals.
According to the information updated by the administration at 03:45, the Ministry of Home Affairs has provided 100 tents, 250 tents and 50 sleeping bags for the victims.
