Former Prime Minister Khanal being taken to Delhi for treatment
Khanal had earlier tested positive for COVID-19.
KATHMANDU: JUNE 16 – CPN-UML leader and former prime minister Jhala Nath Khanal is to be taken to New Delhi for treatment. The family is preparing to take him to Apollo Hospital in Delhi after seeing health problems in Khanal.
Khanal was admitted to the Neurological Hospital in Kathmandu on June 14 after his blood and hemoglobin levels dropped. He is being treated at the hospital with oxygen support.
Preparations have been made to take him to Delhi by aircraft at 12.30 pm. Along with Khanal, his wife, son and a doctor will go to Delhi. Somnath Bastola, spokesperson of Norvic Hospital, said that his family would take him to Delhi as his condition was normal.
Khanal had earlier tested positive for COVID-19. Khanal was resting after returning home from the hospital. He has health problems again.
