2175 vehicles violating the prohibitory order are under police control
A total of Rs 37,900 has been fined to 222 people for violating the prohibitory order
KATHMANDU: JUNE 15 – According to the police, 2,175 vehicles violating the prohibitory order have been taken under control in the last 24 hours.
Of them, 502 are vehicles and 1,673 are motorcycles. The vehicles taken under control have been released after necessary inquiries.
Also, free masks have been distributed to 316 people in the last 24 hours under the ‘Tapai Ko Mask Khoi?’ program run by Nepal Police to prevent and reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection with new variants.
A total of 456,315 people have been given free masks so far under the program, according to police.
A total of Rs 37,900 has been fined to 222 people for violating the prohibitory order issued by the local administration for the prevention and control of COVID-19 as per the COVID-19 Crisis Management Ordinance 2078 BS.
In the process, 2,916 people have been detained and released. Besides, 4,504 people have been alerted under 67 awareness programs including miking, placards and pamphlets across the country, according to the police.
