Five houses displaced, roads blocked
The landslide has disrupted the road network between the Baglung district headquarters and the locals.
BAGLUNG: JUNE 15 – Five houses have been displaced in Khathekhola Rural Municipality of Baglung district due to the landslide. According to the District Police Office, Baglung, the families have been displaced after a landslide occurred above and below the house in Jiredi, Khathekhola.
The landslide occurred at a place called Jiredi of the road connecting Resh passing through the district headquarters Baglung Bazar. Ward Chairman Prem GC said that the landslide came from above the house of Chitra Bahadur Karki of Jiredi. The houses of Bal Bahadur GC and Krishna GC of the same place are at high risk of landslides. All family members are being relocated. The displaced families are being relocated to safer places as the rains and landslides have not stopped.
The landslide has disrupted the road network between the Baglung district headquarters and the locals. A landslide has blocked the Maldhanga of Kaligandaki Corridor. Landslides have hit Baglung-Kushmishera road, Baglung-Bareng road, Madhya Pahadi highway and all roads connecting the ward office and village settlements. -RSS
