Restriction in Kathmandu Valley eased a bit from today

KATHMANDU: JUNE 15 – The prohibitory order has been loose down in Kathmandu Valley from today. A meeting held on Sunday with the Chief District Officers of three districts of Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur) has decided to loose down.

The latest order implemented from today will now be open for buying and selling daily necessities till 11 am. The order states that commercial / development banks, financial institutions and cooperatives and remittance companies can be opened on Sunday and Thursday.

Similar bookstores and printing presses will be open until 11 a.m. Emergency Services (Medicines and Health Equipment, Oxygen Cylinders) Agriculture / Fertilizer / Seed and Food Ingredients Offices (only during transportation) will remain open. Online and take-away services, home delivery will be open until 7 p.m.

However, the prohibition on public and private vehicles, educational institutions, meetings / conferences, processions, cinema halls, monasteries (except for daily worship), etc., as specified and without permission, will remain closed.
