Indian ex-serviceman killed in Panchthar

PANCHTHAR, PHIDIM: JUNE 13 – An old man has been killed in Phidim Municipality-4, Jorsal of Panchthar district. Tek Bahadur Ingwa Limbu, 79, was killed by a sharp weapon last night.

Ingwa’s body was found to have serious head injuries, police said. Only an elderly couple is living at home, and his wife is physically disabled. The incident became public after the daughter-in-law of the deceased arrived there this morning to meet her mother-in-law.

Police are now sealing the house and investigating. The deceased is a retired Indian soldier. Locals have speculated that he may have been killed for the robbery as he received his pension from the bank only last Thursday.
