Citizen leaders arrested from Baluwatar [Photos]

KATHMANDU: JUNE 11 – Police have arrested the civil society leaders who reached Baluwatar to protest. Police arrested them after they reached Baluwatar to protest against political interference in the Medical Education Commission.

Police have arrested Narayan Wagle, Khagendra Sitaula, Yug Pathak, Ghimire Yuvaraj and others. They carried placards with slogans such as ‘Healthcare is business, not government servants, not employers’.

Citizen leaders have been protesting against the decision of the Supreme Court saying that the government is preparing to give affiliation to the medical college.
