Deepak Manange: Resignation or dismissal?

KATHMANDU: JUNE 11 – A letter has been made public regarding the resignation of Gandaki Youth and Sports Minister Rajiv Gurung (Deepak Manange) and his resignation. After the two letters went public, it was unclear whether Manange had resigned or been fired by Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.

On Thursday, news broke that Chief Minister Gurung had dismissed Manange from the post of Sports Minister and that he had resigned. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

Manange had lost contact with Chief Minister Prithvi Subba saying that he could not support her during the vote of confidence. Manange was found by Kaski police at a Lakeside resort on Thursday evening.
