Mother killed, son injured in motorcycle accident

CHITWAN: JUNE 9 – One person has died in a motorcycle accident in Kalika Municipality of East Chitwan. Another has been injured. According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the motorcycle (Na 36 Pa 2199) heading towards Shaktikhor from Upardang Gadhi had met with an uncontrollable accident at Kalika-9 Sunkhani. The motorcycle fell 50 meters from the road at 10:10 pm on Tuesday, according to the office.

The deceased has been identified as Hastamaya Magar, 60, of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-2, said Surya Bahadur Thapa, spokesperson of the office. Magar died on the spot. Fatte Bahadur Magar, 35, of Ratnanagar Municipality-11 has been injured. The injured Magar has sustained injuries in both legs, arms and back and is undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College. The deceased and injured are mother and son, Thapa said. -RSS
