Stefanos defeats Medvedev in semifinals

KATHMANDU: JUNE 9 – Fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece has reached the semifinals of the French Open Tennis. Stefanos beat Russia’s Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) and 7-5 to advance to the last four.

Stefanos reached the semifinals of the Grand Slam for the third time in a row. The 22-year-old star will face sixth-seeded German Alexander Zverev for a place in the final.

Zverev defeated Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-4, 6-1, 6-1 to reach the last four for the first time. Stefanos and 24-year-old Alejandro are both looking to win their first Grand Slam title.

After the victory, both of them will play better in the semi-finals and compete to reach the final.
