Jordan’s easy victory over Nepal


KATHMANDU: JUNE 8 – Jordan defeated Nepal 3-0 in the seventh match of the World Cup and Asian Cup qualifiers. Jordan climbed to second place in the group with a 3-0 win in the one-sided game.
Jordan took the lead in the 23rd minute through a penalty kick. After Rohit Chand fought Suleiman inside the penalty area and the referee gave a penalty, Baha Faisal Seif scored from the penalty spot to give a 1-0 lead.
The first half ended 1-0. Jordan took a 2-0 lead early in the second half. Jordan took a 3-0 lead in the 68th minute. In a short free kick, Jordan made a great move and scored. Yazan Al-Arab easily scored through a header.
With this victory, Jordan has reached 13 points in 6 games while Kuwait is in the third place with 10 points in the same game. Nepal will now have to wait for the result of the other group by winning the next game to make it to the third round of the Asian Cup qualifiers.
Nepal will now face Australia in the next match on Friday. The game will start at 9:45 pm Nepali time.
