In China, 70 percent will be vaccinated by the end of 2021

BEIJING: JUNE 7 – At least 70 percent of the target population in China will be vaccinated against COVID-19 this year, according to the Chinese Health Commission.

In an interview with Xinhua, the head of the commission, Zeng Yixin, said there had been some incidents of COVID-19 infections at the community level, indicating the need for greater vigilance in the prevention and control of COVID-19.

Calling on the public not to hesitate about vaccination, Zeng said joint efforts should be made to build the “Great Wall of Immunization.”

According to the commission, more than 763 million doses have been vaccinated in China as of Saturday. China is the most vaccinated country in the world. -XINHUA
