Surgery for heart attack at Nobel

BIRATNAGAR: JUNE 7 – A Corona patient with heart attack has undergone emergency surgery at Nobel Teaching Hospital. A 55-year-old infected man from Itahari-3 who was admitted to the hospital due to a heart attack has undergone successful angioplasty.

A team of doctors including Nobel director and cardiologist Dr. Rajesh Nepal and Dr. Sushant Katuwal operated on the infected person. A week ago, he was tested positive for Corona Virus and stayed at home in isolation.

He was admitted to Nobel Hospital with sudden chest pains. Nobel’s director and cardiologist Dr. Nepal said that the primary angioplasty was performed immediately after the test showed a heart attack.

He was brought to the hospital with chest pain while sitting in home isolation. Initially, a heart attack was seen during the ECG of the heart.

‘After that, during angiography, when the left ventricle of the heart was completely blocked, we opened the blockage by angioplasty, ‘said Dr. Nepal. In such a case, waiting for another report will make the patient’s heart weaken and he will die. Therefore, to save the life of the patient, we have done primary angioplasty by taking health precautions even though we know that the he is infected with COVID-19. ‘

The heart block is opened by inserting a fine wire through the intoxication of the infected patient leg and a net is placed there. Doctors have performed angioplasty by applying PPE and taking complete health precautions. At present, the health condition of the patient is normal.

Similarly, a 48-year-old Corona-infected man from Kanepokhari in Morang has also undergone angiography at Nobel. He was tested positive for Corona Virus four days ago. Doctors said that further treatment is being carried out as angiography of the patient admitted to the hospital due to chest pain showed normal blockage of the heart.

Earlier, a 38-year-old Corona-infected woman of Barju Rural Municipality-4 of Sunsari, who had a blood clot in her brain due to an accident, was also successfully operated on at Nobel. Nobel laureate Dr. Sunil Sharma informed that the Nobel is ready to treat the Corona infected as there is an additional risk to patients lives due to other health problems.
