Food bank in operation

BIRATNAGAR: JUNE 6 – Six different organizations have brought food bank into operation in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-5 from today under social responsibility to provide necessary food to the people of poor community during the prohibitory order.

Natraj Agro Bhet, Shikhar Organization, Tulsi Motor Pump, Tulasi Multi purpose Cooperative Society, Shiva Shikhar Agro and Gorkha Tea & Coffee will provide 200 kg of rice, 500 grams of pulses, 1 kg of salt and 100 grams of soybean to 200 people daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 am for the next seven days.

Sitaram Bartola, market manager of Natraj Agro, informed that the assistance has been started with the objective of providing some assistance to the people of poor community. He said that additional food items would be distributed later in the day after considering the status of the prohibitory order as per the assistance received from various organizations under social responsibility. -RSS
