5 million Korean Won worth of Corona health items have been sent to Nepal
SEOUL: JUNE 6 – On the special initiative of NRNA Korea, about 5 million Korean Won worth of Corona health items have been sent to Nepal from various organizations in South Korea and funds collected from Nepalis.
The Korean Air, which arrived in Nepal for a rescue flight from South Korea with 112 passengers, arrived in Kathmandu on the 4th carrying relief supplies from Corona. One lakh masks, 300 PPE sets, 240 bottles of sanitizer, 500 units of oximeters and various medicines were sent to Nepal on the plane, said Bimal Subedi, General Secretary of NRNA Korea. The health goods were delivered to Nepal free of cost by Korean Air on the special initiative of KME Travels in coordination with the Nepalese Embassy.
Out of the collected amount, 17 oxygen concentrators have also reached Nepal on June 5 by a Nepal Airlines flight from China under the coordination of the International Coordinating Council of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, said General Secretary Subedi.
The Nepalese Embassy in Korea has issued a statement thanking all Korean Nepalese who have shown solidarity in the fight against Nepal’s Corona. At the initiative of NRNA Korea, Nepalis living in Korea had earlier collected aid for Corona Virus outbreak and sent a large quantity of Corona testing kits and other health items to Nepal. -RSS
