Vietnam allowed Sinopharm vaccination

VIETNAM: JUNE 4 – Vietnam’s Ministry of Health has given permission for emergency use of the Covid-19 vaccine manufactured by Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinopharm.

Vietnam’s Deputy Health Minister Truong Quoc Cuong approved the Sinopharm vaccine on Thursday. Vietnam has previously allowed AstraZeneca and Sputnik vaccines.

Covid-19 infections have been on the rise in Vietnam since the end of April. As of Friday, about 5,000 people had been tested positive for Corona Virus in Vietnam since April 27. Including this, six thousand 577 people have been infected in Vietnam.

Sinopharm’s vaccine against Covid-19 was approved by the World Health Organization for emergency use last May.

Meanwhile, the Chinese National Health Commission said 704.8 million doses had been vaccinated in China as of Wednesday. -XINHUA
