9 killed in train accident in Gansu, China

CHINA: JUNE 4 – Nine people were killed in a train crash in northwest China’s Gansu Province on Friday, local officials said.

According to the Lanzhou Bureau of Chinese Railways, the train crashed on the Xinjiang section of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway at 5.25 am on Friday.

Police and locals rescued the dead and injured. The injured are being treated at a local hospital. -XINHUA
