Corona test started in Itahari
ITAHARI: JUNE 4 – The Itahari sub-metropolitan municipality has reached the tole of the city and is testing the Corona. Deputy Chief Laxmi Gautam informed that the free antigen test is being continued for the convenience of the people of the village. According to Gautam, the tests have been carried out in the communities of wards 2, 3, 4, 12, 14 and 19. After receiving information that many people were infected in the same toll, the health team reached the community and tested them. The sub-metropolitan government has stated that ancillary medicines will be distributed to the people who have tested positive.
In case of any problem, the health worker was asked to call the hotline number, said Gautam. Deputy Mayor Gautam said that the community has been informed about the precautions to be taken while living in home isolation to prevent the spread of Corona infection.
Similarly, the sub-metropolis has been conducting free PCR test at Itahari Stadium from 8 am to 10 am. More than 100 swabs are collected daily and taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan for testing. Puja Bhattarai of Itahari Sub-metropolitan Health Branch said that the sub-metropolis is providing free test to the people of the sub-metropolis by providing minimum fee at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
“Now the report comes on the same day as the test,” said Puja. Even if it is late, it will come day after tomorrow anyway, ”said Dwariklal Chaudhary, chief of the sub-metropolis, who has requested the state government to increase the scope of testing in the state labs as well.
“The Itahari sub-metropolitan health department has been calling the infected to understand their health condition and give them advice,” he said. The sub-metropolitan government has stated that two ambulances have been kept on standby for 24 hours. Infected residents of Itahari are getting services from the 50-bed oxygen isolation operated by Itahari Sub-metropolis.
