Prohibitory order in Valley: Which areas are open from today?


KATHMANDU: JUNE 4 – The prohibitory order on Kathmandu Valley has been loose. A meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur has decided to relax the austerity measures taken for a year.
According to the new order implemented from today, morning walk and evening walk have been opened. Even though the educational institutions will remain closed, the District Administration Office will facilitate the visa process for the students going for foreign studies through diplomatic missions and other agencies.
Diplomatic missions will be able to conduct much-needed examinations and interviews. They will be able to operate essential industries and construction work by keeping workers in the workplace. They will be able to transport health items, agricultural fertilizers, seeds and food items.
Vehicles including vegetables, fruits, food grains, milk and dairy products and its packaging materials, chicken grains, chickens and fuel, cooking gas will be operated from 9 pm to 9 am. Vegetables, fruits, food grains, drinking water, gas, grocery stores, department stores and vehicle maintenance workshops will be conducted on time.
Vehicles transporting construction materials will be operated from 9 pm to 4 am. Public transport, on the other hand, will not be allowed to operate till June 14.
