UML Standing Committee meeting postponed again
KATHMANDU: JUNE 3 – The meeting of the standing committee of the ruling UML has been postponed again. According to UML office secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang, the meeting has been postponed again. According to Secretary Tamang, the meeting called for 4 pm had to be postponed again due to lack of necessary preparations. “We had to postpone it until further notice due to lack of preparation,” said Tamang.
Standing Committee member Subashchandra Nemwang, on the other hand, said that they were preparing to unite the party and it was postponed again due to lack of preparation. ‘We have focused on how to make a safe landing of the last UML-centric political problem. Not ready, ‘said Nemwang.
The meeting convened on Wednesday (yesterday) was also postponed by Chairman KP Sharma Oli at the last minute. Earlier, Tuesday’s meeting had decided to try for unity till the last moment.
Meanwhile, the central committee meeting of the opposition UML is underway. The meeting is discussing and briefing about the progress of the talks with the ruling party.
